A Mind That Suits
What doesn't kill me, makes me laugh... usually.
Thursday, April 10, 2003 ::: Events are moving to a frightening stage Elation over the swift course of the war must be tempered by a sober assessment of what is to follow. When France was liberated after World War II, the people who suffered executed swift justice against their fellow countrymen who had collaborated with the Nazis. Thousands died in a very short time. Surely much of the random murder in the former Soviet Empire can be attributed to revenge. When the dust settles, the horror under which the Iraqis have lived for a quarter of a century is going to shock and appall, but who can say what horrors of revenge and desparation will be unleashed now? The next few days may well be the hardest for our boys and young men, and they will undoubtedly be even harder on the long suffering Iraqis. Prayers are in order.
