I HATE LAWYERS. And A Mind That Suits is well aware that he is the only one who has said so,ever. The absence of this most distinguished blog for the last few days has been caused by legal delays over penny-ante rental concerns. Ugh. What a waste of time.


He Won't Be Back. The only thing other than that that has been on the mind of A Mind That Suits is that Arnold Whatsisname, the bodybuilder, by avoiding a debate over the recall election, is probably handing the election to Cruz Bustamante, whose election as Governor of California seems, at this point, to be a foregone conclusion. And, for the residents of the Bear Republic, this may not be such a bad thing. After 3 years of Bustamante, an honest, hardworking, dedicated leftist, voters will realize it is the Democratic Party, and not Gray Davis, that is the problem.

That's about it...

Well, aside from this. A Mind That Suits studied French briefly as a teenager, and has kept up with it only intermittently since then. He has studied Italian diligently in his forties. He has listened to Italian news for years on the web and on a local public TV station. He has only recently discovered how to get the French news. He understands the French news at least as well, if not better, than the Italian. Go make your kids study.

And this. This morning, the Washington commute was halted by a sick passenger on a subway train. That's it. That's how fragile our system is.
