A Mind That Suits What doesn't kill me, makes me laugh... usually.

The press of business both normal and legal is keeping this blog a shade behind the curve. This morning brings the sad news of the decision by Miguel Estrada to withdraw his name as a nominee for the US Appeals Court. This is a real tragedy for the Republic, and will be the subject of a longer blog this evening. But hithee over to the Washington Times for an even more depressing report that a Pentagon review has already concluded that the planning for "post-war" Iraq was hurried, incomplete, and badly done. Alas, it was "post-battle" Iraq, because the war continues apace, and the missteps made in the first few weeks have determined the relentless drip of bad news ever since. More on that one, as well.
