A Mind That Suits What doesn't kill me, makes me laugh... usually.

Key thought for the day: "Lebanon porn film acting" is one really weird search term, but somebody used it yesterday, and found their way to this august website.

A Mind That Suits has to report to his other job early today, and then tomorrow he heads off to Anapolis to catch some water polo. So check back on Sunday. Italian hand gestures may be a topic, but rather more seriously, the Wall Street Journal this morning offered a summative editorial on how Iraq should be handled. It can be read here. It can be summed up as "speed up Iraqification," a topic on which this writer has recently plead ignorance. But the editors make sense: delay gives rise to bitterness. Also, people who have responsibilities are less likely to ask their supporters to beat up on the other guy's. And it is also welcome in that the editors recognize what I assume to be the position of a majority of conservatives, which is "more troops NOW." However, their example of a conservative who holds those beliefs is Sen. McCain, who is not their least favorite Republican for the simple reason that his last name is not "Snowe." He is no conservative in any way that is recognizable, but he is a fierce patriot and a noble warrior, and on this issue (and ONLY on this issue), his leadership is most welcome.

Their arguments against our position do not strike me as strong, but I will have to return to that another time. The old computer has just notified me that the salesperson for tonight's event just e-mailed me, and the workaday world calls.
