A Mind That Suits What doesn't kill me, makes me laugh... usually.

One of the best jokes about politics in recent months was Jay Leno's quip about the prospect of liberal talk radio. The left, of course, is obsessed with the immense success of rightwing talk shows, convinced that it forms the central nervous system for, as one woman (forget her name) put it, a vast, rightwing conspiracy. The Liberals are, Leno said, worried that they just aren't getting their message out there, "I mean, aside from the movies, TV, the newspapers--it's just not getting out."

The pub where The Night In Question began (see Oct. 22) draws an interesting mix of learned and sharp folks, including a media consultant with whom A Mind That Suits has had several enjoyable conversations. He wrote an interesting, and serious, article about the prospects for liberal talk radio, which you can find here at the San Francisco Chronicle website. It is in the Gannett newspapers today. We will have to see if we can get him to write one about the prospects of conservatives gaining a foothold in other media markets.

Several sojourns in California in recent years have reminded A Mind That Suits just how abysmal the Chronicle is, and how, yes, lucky DC is to have the Post.

That's about it for today--this is a full one for A Mind That Suits.
