A Mind That Suits What doesn't kill me, makes me laugh... usually.

Amazing, really, how brave people are with other people's intestines. A Mind That Suits hears," Oh, you should go. You don't know how bad it is." Well, bad enough. Bad enough that the entire time would be spent wondering where the closest bathroom is, when Italy is famous for having little, if any, free plumbing. The exception: the Vatican, which is not, technically, part of Italy. So, if he spent every waking minute in the Holy See--not bad, for a week, actually--the stricken visitor could always find what he needed. But why pay an extra $40-50 a day to have a bed in which to doze away? And how to get from the Gianicolo to the Vatican--a whopping 10 minute bus ride--without worry?

Not a way to spend Christmas. A Mind That Suits will be in lovely Wilmington, NC, or at Midnight Mass at Washington's Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle with her wonderful cardinal, Thomas McCarrick. But neither one holds a candle to St. Peter's, where A Mind That Suits has spent two Christmasses, and regrets that he will not be yet again, in the company of this most wonderful Pope.

But he will be free to blog, and so hopes that you all will join him now and again.

Have a good one...
