Friend Brandon from Wilmington writes in that he is offended by my ridiculing the novel Burn . (See November 26.)Said book was, according to the jacket blurb, told from the "seldom heard perspective of a menopausal immigrant woman." Brandon reminds us that there are indeed far too many books by menopausal, native-born men, and avows that he is sick of reading them. One understands his point. This blog will always entertain dissenting views.
