Several major posts are coming up, but this writer would just like to make a plug for the very best thing he has read about the war, and that is a paper entitled "Bounding the War on Terror" by Dr. Jeffrey Record of the Air War College. (He is a visiting professor at the US Army War College's Strategic Studies Institute this year.) Dr. Record was a professional staff member for one of the finest senators this country has ever had, Sam Nunn of Georgia, so, while he is a Democrat, he can hardly be accused of being a leftist or soft. If you really want to read something that focuses on the deepest points, spending an hour or so with Dr. Record is very much worth the effort.
