The defenders of Donald Rumsfeld are coming out in force. Loyalty is a good thing, but conservatives also believe in personal responsibility. Donald Rumsfeld made a series of choices; they have turned out badly. His defenders now seem to be saying that he did not make them. Yes, he did. An important meeting presses on time, but A Mind That Suits will reflect on this very unconservative defense of a very unconservative figure later today.
