A Mind That Suits What doesn't kill me, makes me laugh... usually.

The polls show the public gave the verdict to Kerry by a goodish margin, which just goes to show how being an English teacher affects your judgment.

CBS has an interesting poll of a focus group that responded minute by minute to each point, which you can find here . A largish chunk of folks were convinced that Kerry had a good plan to continue in Iraq, whereas the vast majority before the debate thought he didn't, which happens to be the truth. "Convening a summit" won't help and "getting other countries involved" won't happen. But then again, Kerry did score on planning for the war--something he has not been focused on, because he has trouble focusing--and perhaps the President really deserves to get dumped over that. But is a Democrat trustworthy on foreign policy? Ahh...that is the real question, and if the debates brought that to the fore, then so be it.
